Bids and Grants

We are thrilled to announce that the Summerseat Village Collective has won the bid to develop the island in Summerseat! This is a very exciting opportunity for our community, and we look forward to working with residents to create a vibrant and welcoming space for everyone.

Summerseat Village Collective (Emma especially), along with Proffitts, have worked tirelessly to pull this project together. They not only secured the vital external funding but also actively involved the community in designing the play area, ensuring it caters to the needs and preferences of local children.

The Auto Trader Community Fund aims to encourage and support grassroots community organisations. This means small, community-based and locally controlled groups that manage themselves, encourage people to get involved as volunteers and who just need a bit of financial help to be able to work with their community in the way they’d like.

In 2024, we’ll be looking to raise additional funding for more bee workshops in schools throughout the borough.

Our bee workshops are designed to educate and inspire future generations about the importance of bees. Through interactive activities, engaging presentations, and even the chance to meet live bees (safely!), students gain a deeper understanding of these fascinating creatures and the challenges they face.

The Onward Community Fund aims to support local groups and projects, helping them to succeed. Underpinned by our commitment to enable people to be their best, in a home they love and place they are proud of, groups can bid for up to £2,500 to deliver a project in their neighbourhood.
