We were honoured to accept an invitation from the Mayor of Bury, Councillor Mohammed Tahir Rafiq, to attend a reception at the Mayor’s Parlour during National Small Charity Week.
Our Chair, Emma, represented Summerseat Village Collective alongside other local charities and community organisations, celebrating the incredible contribution that volunteers and grassroots groups make across the borough.

It was a wonderful opportunity to recognise the dedication of the people who give their time to improve their communities and to meet others who are making a real difference across Bury.
This recognition belongs to every one of our volunteers. Whether you help care for the Memorial Garden, look after the village flower displays, support our beekeeping group, maintain community spaces or lend a hand at events, thank you. Your time, enthusiasm and community spirit are what make Summerseat such a special place.
We’re proud of everything we’ve achieved together and excited about what comes next.
